The conference will discuss and hear about the future of the criminal justice system in response to government plans. The conference will also hear about the Howard League’s Community Sentences Cut Crime campaign which aims to encourage public and government support for successful community sentences.
Our annual Community Programmes Awards look for the country's most successful community programmes to highlight all the outstanding work going on around the country. There will be an exhibition of all shortlisted projects of the Community Programmes Awards 2011. Winners will be announced and invited to make presentations at the awards ceremony. We are pleased to announce Ian Hislop, Editor of the Private Eye will be presenting the awards.
Crispin Blunt MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Justice will be our keynote speaker. There will also be contributions from:
