National Citizen Service for Young People

Welcome to the Catch22 NCS Partnership

The National Citizen Service (NCS) is created for young people by young people.
Through NCS you get the chance to meet new people, try new things and make a real difference in your local community.

So what’s NCS all about?

Phase 1: Introducing NCS
Come along and meet the group, start thinking about what you want to do in your area and what you can achieve over the summer.
Phase 2: Residential
A week away from home with a mix of physical, mental, creative and skills-based activities – everyone has the opportunity to try something new and to shine!
Phase 3: Community visit and skills week
Learn project management skills, share ideas with the local experts and make plans for real change in your community
Phase 4: Social action planning week
Take part in presentation and communications skills workshops.
Join up with other NCS Teams in your area to discuss your social action plans. Develop a detailed plan for social action in your area.
Phase 5: take action!
The finale of all your hard work; this is when you get a chance to make a real change in your community to the issues that matter to you.
And finally…
Whether you cleaned up the local park, created a music festival or helped out at the local hospital, you’ll finish your NCS summer with a graduation ceremony and receive a nationally recognised certificate for all your hard work.
