Caspar Walsh, who spent time in a young offenders’ institution writes ihttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifn today’s Observer how writing led to his rehabilitation.
Now over 40 and the author of two books, Walsh runs Write to Freedom, a wrhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifiting programme for young offenders http://writetofreedom.co.uk/index.html
The project encourages memoir writing to help young people in prison reflect on past actions. It supports them even after release.
The scheme is similar to Writers In Prison Network, which we featured in an earlier post. http://www.writersinprisonnetwork.org/
